Private One to One
One-to-one lessons are available for acoustic guitar, electric guitar and popular music theory they are ideal for students who want to focus on certain areas of study or just to have individual attention. Lessons are delivered in a fully equipped teaching studio with each lesson tailored to meet the particular needs of the student which could range from wanting to learn a few songs to learning the instrument to a professional standard. It is expected that the student owns their own guitar and practises regularly; the amount of practise will be dependent on the students own personal goals. A guitar can be provided for use in the lesson or the student can bring their own. When a student begins taking lessons they are provided with an online account where they can book/cancel lessons, view/pay invoices, keep a practice log and also receive lesson reminders. I teach all popular styles but specialize in Rock, Pop and Blues. I teach students from the age of 5 years old and up. All abilities are catered for but I speciaize in Beginners and Intermediates. If required I teach the Registry of Guitar Tutors (RGT) electric guitar, rock guitar, acoustic guitar and popular music theory exams. Topics covered in the grade exams include: scales, improvisation and lead playing, chords and rhythm playing, specialist techniques, popular music theory and aural abilities.
